Event Details
On June 27, 2023, the Waypoint Research Institute, Waypoint Center for Mental Health Care hosted the virtual education session Waypoint Talks: Building your research toolkit.
During the workshop, the Preventative Online Mental Health Program for Youth (POMHPY) team, including Dr. Soyeon Kim, Dr. Elnaz Moghimi, Dr. Kimberly Belfry, Sarah Farr, Arina Bogdan, and Megan Brush, walked participants through the development of POMHPY and a condensed version of the first program session.
Over 40 clinicians, researchers, youth, and partners supporting youth attended and learned about how to build dynamic and inclusive programming that engages youth and partners. By the end of the workshop, we hope participants were able to:
Understand the participatory value of engaging youth, partners, and the community
Identify how equity, diversity, and inclusion can be embedded into program development
Recognize the importance of the youth co-development model
